Problem with calendar, groupplanner-view

Hi,

I experience the following behaviour using 1.4.002:
We use grouplanner, planner by users as default view, preselcted group is set to GroupA
calendar is start app, too, default view should be shown entering egroupware

Anyway sometimes, when users login (seems to be on the very first login of each user) the group-planner for Group “Default” is selected, whit the error message cause insufficient rights.
We forced GroupA, and the persmission are set for GroupA, and GroupA is the "preselectedgroup-for entering the planner"
Is it possible that the “preselected group for entering the planner” is somehow not evaluated regarding the calendar shown as start app.
Using the calendar the user sometime switch to “Default” calendar, too (not the users, but the app itself does it) getting the same error message.

I am thinking about deleting Group “Default”.

Is this a bug?

Hi,

I did deleted the default-group. I did different testings and lots of my colleques, too. The error “Access to calendar of denied” remains. Multiple login in and out may help. I turned session-ID cookie of, I deactivated home app, I took the calendar from home, but the problem in the calendar app remains.
It’s denieng access to calendar the user has access to, and there is no way to make the server show something (choosing different views or users) than to log off. Login in, doesn’t mean that it will work afterwards.

If I understand the problem I ca suggest you the follow :

1. You must go in the prefernces in the Calendar modul and put NONE in “Preselected group for entering the planner”

2. If you want that the members of each group can read or edit the meetings for example, the ADMIN must goes in the module Admin after that select the group in question, and after that autorise the same groupe to reat or edit.

For example GROUPE1 GIVES READ OR EDIT RIGHTS TO THE SAME GROUPEA.

thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately we already set the permissions exactly as you suggested. The calendar does work about 70% of the time (group-Calendar). At the moment we check, if it has to do with cookies, because loging in and out and deleting cookies does help sometimes.

And hate errors, which cannot be reproduced.

I just notices, that it seems to be a general problem, not only in calendar. At the moment, I only get a blank page, when I login an accroding to the URL I am redirected to
http://mydomain/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=calendar.uilist.listview
I wanted to got just to …/egroupware

I had a similar problem before, but I cannot find it anymore.
What can I do? Change something in session management?

Hi all,

I also had problems with file-based sessions as long as my PHP Server was “hardened” by the “suhosin” module. This module encrypts the session-files and eGW cannot handle that if it wants to read it manually with fopen(). So long, after disabling that module, classes which read the sessions in raw format worked fine agin.

I haven’t read this thread fully, but I think it could be a solution for problems with sessions in general.
