Hello,
I have a big problem to sync Thunderbird addressbook with eGroupWare. I
read a lot of posts on eGroupWare forum, but didn’t succeed to solve it.
So I ask for some help on this list
I installed eGroupWare 1.4.004 on my web server. All is working like a
charm inside eGroupWare addressbook : users can add, update, remove
contacts with no problem.
But I need to allow my users to manage their addressbook inside
Thunderbird. So I found in eGroupWare forum a solution using GroupDav,
thanks to Ralf Becker. I installed the SOGo connector inside Thunderbird
(version 0.62 cause I saw that newer versions don’t work).
When I connect with my eGroupWare administrator account with SOGo
connector, all is working fine with sync : I can download contacts in
Thunderbird, add, update and delete them and changes are reported inside
eGroupWare. So for the moment no problem…
When I use a normal user account with SOGo connector, I can download,
delete and update existing contacts. But if I try to create a new
contact inside Thunderbird addressbook I get an error from the server. I
tried to put this user inside eGroupWare Admin group, but it doesn’t
work too ! Don’t understand cause I don’t see any difference between the
2 users now !
I gave the permissions for icalsrv to all my eGroupWare groups. I saw in
this message that maybe I have to give permissions to “groupdav” :
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=20250943.post%40talk.nabble.com
But I didn’t see any groupdav in eGroupWare 1.4 permissions. I think
this message is only for eGroupWare 1.6 isn’t it ?
This is very important for us to have the Thunderbird addressbook sync
capability. It really drives me crazy.
I hope someone will be able to help me. Thanks ! And sorry for my
english…
