Hi
I’m new to eGW and I’m trying to use it at home as a shared calendar.
I’ve used xmlrpc under 1.4 and that was OK-ish but it looks like iCalSrv is the
way forward.
I use the following clients:
- korganiser
- lightning
- gpe-calendar (on Nokia N800)
They mainly work OK as read-only clients. There are various issues that I’ll try
and address eventually though (eg time offset problems for recurrence across
summertime transition in korganiser).
The first problem is that gpe-calendar has a problem with an event that has an
alarm.
The icalsrv delivers an .ics like this:
…
BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER;VALUE=DURATION;RELATED=START:-P1W
END:VALARM
END:VEVENT
This isn’t rfc compliant as it has no ‘ACTION’
yet the .ics export on the calendar gives:
…
BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER;VALUE=DURATION;RELATED=START:-P1W
ACTION:DISPLAY
DESCRIPTION:Tango Nirvana Christmas Milonga - Book Tickets!
END:VALARM
END:VEVENT
I’m going to start digging but hints would be good. (or of course if it is a
known issue and someone has fixed it)
