Hi!
When updating an installation from 1.6.003(svn) to trunk, the public
categories are now restricted to the person who created the category
"cat_owner" (which does not work because it does expect a group there).
In 1.6, the cat_owner was the person who introduces the category. It was
not used other than making the category private. So now, the user can
define group-wise access to categories.
Still, after the upgrade, the global categories are now visible only to
the user who created them.
I think, the update process should set the cat_owner to 0 (all users)
for all non-private (cat_owner==public) categories.
What’s your opinion?
Also, it is not possible to change the restriction via “edit category”,
you currently have to change this directly in the database. What is the
reason behind this?
Best regards,
Hans-Jürgen
