Query regarding WIKI and FAQ?

Hi everyone,

I am curious about to know whether my egroupware have WIKI and FAQ, if both these application included by default how to enable these application. If it’s not by default, could anyone let me know how to add these application into my egroupware system.

My EGroupware version: 17.1.003

Wiki is deprecated, but still easily installable:

apt/yum/zypper install egroupware-epl-wiki

Not sure what you mean with FAQ, we never had an app with that name. If you talk about the KnowledgeBase, that can be installed too, but has a dependency to our old API:

apt/yum/zypper install egropware-epl-phpbrain

Sorry to interrupt you again,I had install wiki on my egroupware but it does not work consistently. I just wanted to install knowledgebase, when I run this command ( apt/yum/zypper install egropware-epl-phpbrain )

I got this error ( Unable to locate package egropware-epl-phpbrain )

Could you please explain what do you mean by dependency to our old API.

Little typo from Ralf. Please try this:
apt/yum/zypper install egroupware-epl-phpbrain

one last thing if i just wanted to uninstall these packages can I just use these commands

apt remove egroupware-epl-phpbrain
apt remove egroupware-epl-wiki

Our packages never remove data from the database, therefore you also need to uninstall the two apps via setup.

And if the two are the only old apps you used, you can also remove egroupware-epl-compat, which get installed as a dependency.

I just wanted to know, the knowledge base app is working fine on my latest egroupware, but the only problem is when I switch to mobile or tablet view then these two apps WIKI and Knowledge base are not showing anymore.

do you suggest any solution to show knowledge base app on mobile or tablet view?

As we are not providing special views for mobile for those two apps, they are switched off by default.

To switch them on go to Administration >> Site configuration >> Applications available on mobile devices and add the apps.
