Question regarding json and xajax

Dear developers,
in our installation (actual trunkversion) we used or started to use ProjectReportMind, which is originally a french module from Versusmind. It worked until json started to take over the functions from xajax, which, as you posted a few weeks ago, isn’t necessary anymore and has been deleted from trunk.
Now I updated to the new version of PRM and had to reinstall xajax.inc.php, because it obviously is mandatory to get PRM to work. Some things seem to work now, but I’ve got a lot of errors showing “Ajax request to http://mysite/json.php?menuaction=rida.ajax_edition_etape2.ajax_search_in_calendar_import failed: error” or e.g. “Ajax request to http://mysite/json.php?menuaction=rida.ajax_edition_etape2.ajax_search_accounts failed: error” .
I don’t know how to overcome this, so my question is, if it is possible to re-activate the xajax-components in trunk to match some (old) modules which need this function to work properly.

NO, we emulate most of the old xajax functions in our new code. If the
app you mentioned uses xajax as all the other egroupware apps do, it
will work with json as well as with xajax.

JSON is a full replacement for xajax, you can not install both!

JSON has one requirement: installations have to use utf-8! Is your
installation still using iso-8859-1? In that case you have to convert it
to utf-8 (create a db-backup in setup or admin and restore it, that’s
all it takes in an up to date trunk).

Otherwise the author of the app needs to fix his app.

thanks for your quick response. I think you’re right - we do use utf-8 but this app seems to base on iso-8859-1. I’ll look forward finding out, where to correct this problem. Maybe versusmind should have a look at it. I’ll come back, when I get closer to that point.
By the way: do you think, there will be any negative effects runnig xajax.inc.php inside of phpgwapi/inc/? I did so and at least found no probs with it yet.

Both use identical class names, if a second one gets included, PHP will
fail with a fatal error: class already defined.

You might get lucky and it works …

Anyway only utf-8 is supported in EGroupware anymore (as eg. PHP’s json
extension, only supports utf-8).

here’s some more input to think about. I’m not quite clear whether this has something to do with my problem:
"Database error

Invalid SQL: SELECT DISTINCT SUM(ts_duration) AS duration,SUM(round(ts_quantity*ts_unitprice,2)) AS price,SUM(ts_quantity) AS quantity FROM egw_timesheet LEFT JOIN egw_timesheet_extra ON egw_timesheet.ts_id=egw_timesheet_extra.ts_id WHERE ts_owner IN (87,142,193,13) AND ts_start >= 1280613600 AND ts_start <= 1283291999 AND ts_id NOT IN (SELECT link_id1 FROM egw_links WHERE link_app1 = ‘timesheet’ AND link_app2 = ‘projectmanager’):
Column ‘ts_id’ in IN/ALL/ANY subquery is ambiguous"

Also checked if utf-8 is enabled in this app and it is.
Any hint for where to check other dependencies?

That’s a clear error in the SQL query, thought this query seems NOT to
originate from EGroupware / Timesheet code, at least I can not find it.

Also checked if utf-8 is enabled in this app and it is.
Any hint for where to check other dependencies?

Sorry, this is NOT the Versusmind support forum, go ask them. It has
nothing to do with EGroupware.
