Readonlys Issue (Never before encountered Nextmatch Widget Problem)

Let me first make a brief introduction, my name is John Trudel and I
currently am working on pERP.

My issue is with trying to make a Submit Button within a row’s sub
rows become disabled. I have tried countless $readonlys arrays to
disable the Submit button but some how not getting it right.

Hi John,

if you set $readonlys[2] = true; you disable everything in the whole row.

What you need is to give the button a unique name in the template, eg.

delete[$row_cont[subrowid]] (with $row_cont[subrowid] is eg. 123)

If the button get’s pressed it will be reported in content as

$content[‘nm’][2][‘delete’][123] === ‘pressed’;

To disable that button you have to set

$readonlys[2][‘delete[123]’] = true;

As you can see $readonly[2] is making all the deletes of the parent row
disabled. this is not what I want. I need the appropriate sub rows
delete buttons disabled only. I would have to say that this is probably
an easy answer to the right person. I have looked at this issue so long
now that I can not see what is probably right in front of my eyes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good Morning Ralf or maybe Good Evening

While me a Nathan were sitting down this morning analyzing this issue
we came to a solution. We could reference the sub array’s delete
buttons by there name with out the rows name. Meaning to reach the the
button in question, the readonlys array was like this

$readonlys[‘delete[123]’] = true;
instead of
$readonlys[2][‘delete[123]’] = true;

We do agree on the fact that it makes sense that $readonlys[2]
[‘delete[123]’] = true; is the way it should be, but this is not the
case. Maybe it is something in the future that should be looked at.
Personally I must say now that I know that I can directly hit the name
of that button this way, it does seem easier to do. The only thing one
would have to recognize is that the row buttons and sub row buttons
would have to use different names. There are delete buttons on both.
So we merely changed the rows delete to “delete_cat” and the sub rows
were left at “delete”.

This also may help others in the future that may attempt to have
nested rows in this fashion.
