Hi,
This concerns EGW 1.4 and Cyrus IMAP 2.2 on the backend.
I am able to setup individual mailbox ACLs through the FelaMiMail “Manage Folders” interface. I haven’t been able to find out yet how to make this work recursively. It’s proving to be an annoyance to users who have many sub-folders to organize their email. When they want to give somebody else access to their email account (ie their secretary, admin assistant, or simply because they are leaving the company and try to hand over their work and email archives), they need to repeat the ACL procedure on every folder.
If you have than 2 or 3 folders, this becomes tedious. If you have dozens or hundreds of folders, this is unmanageable.
For these type of users I will set the ACLs myself using the ‘cyradm’ program, and run something like:
setaclmailbox user.somebody* newuser lrswipcd
By adding the wildcard to the mailbox base name, it effectively applies the same to every sub-folder that exists under that account.
I wonder if modifying the addACL() function in felamimail/inc/class.ajaxfelamimail.inc.php will do the trick as well, but then it would become hard-coded.
Does anybody know of a better way of going about this? Maybe a “recursive” checkbox could be a great feature to have here.
Thanks,
Gerard Beekmans
