Registration for push messages?

I wonder if it realy nessasery to make the registration:

Maybe I do it on installation, but how could I verify it?

Hi Gregor,

click on their forum link, it explains the background and how to verify, if you’re already registered.

Everyone got this notification, independent if he has registered or not.

Btw. the forum message also has a link to their privacy policy, one of the things which was missing when we (EGroupware GmbH) first looked at their push service. They claim to be fully GDPR (DSGVO) compliant and I have no reason to daut them.

Maybe you’ve an additional tip for us.:

The registraion faile, I think our installation send an private IP address with.
I search a little bit in the RC administration, but maybe you know, where to change it/what to to?

Is that from their (Rocket.Chat) cloud panel, or your Rocket.Chat installation?

Their cloud panel allows a registration via a generate token, if your Rocket.Chat is not publicly available, but should send push notifications to them. It also allows a password reset, in case you forgot what you set initially.

I start a registration from our installation, gt the token and after paste the token in the local installtion I got an short popup in RC that an error occur.

Does your server has a working default route, or does it need a proxy?

I would try again in a couple of hours, maybe it’s a temporary problem on their side …

They also have a forum to ask questions.

I didn’t get info from RC support, but the registration was successful no.
