Hi all,
Is there a way to prevent the “Return-Path” header to be added to outgoing
emails?
We have a few shared email addresses which get filtered into shared folders.
This works perfectly when using existing email clients as these do not insist
on adding additional headers.
When sending emails from eGroupware using these alternate identities, a
"Return-Path" header is being added which causes the emails to not show
correctly and also do not show in the respective Sent-folder. (This is handled
by checking the Envelope-From of the email)
I have no need for this additional header. Is there a way to prevent it from
being added other than commenting out the respective line ( " $this-
addHeader(‘Return-Path’, ‘<’.$sender.’>’, true); " ) from the file “api/src/
Mailer.php”?
Currently, if the comments are correct, it looks like it takes the IMAP
account ( prepended to “@domainname”). There is no SMTP
authentication configured.
Many thanks,
Joost
