This is how it seems to work:
- Remove the modified template in the etemplate application
- Touch the setup/etemplates.inc.php file
Yeah, that’s the way to do it for a single template.
In this case, the modification was done in a sub-template, namely the
definition of the rows in a list view, so the correct template needs to
be chosen. It is visible in the edit window of the elements modified.
Could we add this information in etemplate/doc/etemplate.html or will
this documentation needto be changed due to changes to etemplate2 in
trunk anyway?
Probably, thought these parts no not yet exist, so it’s hard to tell for
sure. Go ahead and add the information to Trunk and 1.8.

Best Regards,

Can you please tell me about how to revert changes in the etemplate
application? I am missing a “revert” button in the etemplate
application, which resets all changes to the state as defined in the
setup files…
When I touch the file news_admin/setup/etemplates.inc.php, the layout is
reset once, but obviously the database already contains the modified
version and is not reset, so the next vie contains the modifications again.
I can uninstall / reinstall the application on the development system,
but I believe, there should be a better solution to revert the template
to the state available in setup/.
Thanks for any hint.
Hans-Jürgen
