Hello!
I just finnished the rewrite and testing of the RPM spec files. The CVS
problems at sf.net did not really make it easier. Starting with the next
RC we will also provide RPM’s.
I have now created RPM’s which have the same structure like the debian
package. I also added the right dependencies. So far i tested the RPM
under
FC4. Tomorrow i’ll also try to build and test the RPM on a SUSE system.
The
RPM’s will also be signed by the egroupware packagers gpg key again.
Just another update. Ralf and me have decided to use following structure for
the RPM’s. From my point of view, the other maintainers of packages do it
the same way.
We provide on package containing the stable applications. The RPM is called
egroupware-1.2RC7-1.rpm . For people who like to have a striped down
egroupware installation, can use another RPM called
egrouwpare-core-1.2RC7-1.rpm. This RPM contains only stuff like admin,
setup, preferences but no applications. For the applications we provide a
RPM(egroupware-appname-1.2RC7-1.rpm) for every single egw application.
I also tried to have proper RPM dependencies. That should solve everybody
needs.
Just to let you know…
