Screen background using a jpeg or png

Hello,
I’ve created a new screen.
I open a new window and display the photo and the full name.
The screen opens and these things are drawn in a white box.
Is there a way to control the white box and have it display
a background jpeg or png instead of being white?

Use CSS to set a background image. If you do that in your app.css file,
it takes precedence over the global blank background.

I have tried using the CSS that is part of eTemplate. Is that the area you
are talking about? If so, then I must be setting the command wrong.
Is the command written in html, or php? I have found both on the
web and they seem to have no effect.

Neither HTML nor PHP, it’s CSS.

From the eTemplate editor, with your template loaded, click the ‘CSS-
styles’ button.
Change your CSS here.

From the suggested website I got the command

body
{
background-image:url( my web address );
}

I was able to make the background of the window appear correctly.
However the ‘white box’ still appears around the photo and name,
most all of the upper part of the window.
Would there be another command specific to change the white
box to the jpeg? I did not see this on the web site.

The style is going to be identical, you need to figure out what the
correct target is.

I would guess that you actually need something like:

div.divAppbox {
background-image:url( my web address );
}

You’ll have to look at the generated HTML to figure out what the right
element is.

I am having trouble understanding this suggestion.
I did a search for divAppbox and did not find it
anywhere.
I tried pasting in the line provided as is into
the css style sheet, I tried pasting it into
the raw generated xml file, no luck
Could you provide a little more detail, what
html file are you refering to?

When you click your button, a pop-up window is displayed.
eGroupWare will run your little bit of code, and a web page will be
generated.
This generated web page is displayed inside the pop-up window.

You need to examine the source of this web page, figure out exactly
what that white box is, and use CSS to change it, so the next time
it’s generated, it will have your image as the background.

Hello,
I followed your suggestions, and added the lines in css styles

div#divAppbox {background-image:url( my jpg);}
body {background-image:url( my jpeg);}

Now, in the eTemplate editor, the screen looks perfect, the
jpeg is filling the screen the way it should.

But, when I actually run the screen in address book, the
white box still apears. Is there another setting I should
be looking at? I have saved the template, exported it,
and imported it and have the same results

Hello,
Thank you Nathan for your suggestions, they were right on.
The html code referenced idots, I looked through it and nothing
looked like what I wanted. I then noticed that it included another
file, which had what I needed. The css line:
div#popupMainDiv {background-image:url( my jpeg);}
works great.
