Hi Gunda,
Hi Everybody
Despite Ralf’s email very much appreciated support via this list, our
hosting provider TMD Hosting has given up on upgrading our site.
Although they claim to be an Egroupware specialist, they are willing
but competely incompetent. They obviously do not have a paid
Egroupware support account or are subscribers to this list. In
addition, they completely ignore adivce, such as passed on from Ralf.
Following what they claim to be an easy job for them, the transfer
from another hosting platform, our site was down for more than 24h.
Apart from Site Mgr template customisation (basically images and CSS)
it is a normal 14.3 Egroupware installation. We need someone to help
us upgrading to 16.2. for a fixed fee agreed in advance. We are able
to make a sandbox available for a “trial update”. We are a social
enterprise startup. Should it be unaffordable, we have to consider
abandoning Egroupware for another collab platform, something we are
trying to avoid as we have used EGW sind 1.8. Any offers?
EGroupware GmbH, the developer of EGroupware, offers such a service.
A couple of questions before we can send you a quote:
- where is your 14.3 installation running: a shared hosting by that
provider, a (virtual) root-server at a provider, a physical server or
virtual machine running on your premise
- how was the 14.3 installation done: linux package manager, archives,
Git checkout
- where is the updated installation supposed to run
- your installation is currently down, so you need help ASAP
–> probably the quickest way to get you running again is to import your
instance (at least temporary) to our hosting while we sort out what’s
the best way for you to proceed
Ralf
I look forward to hearing from you.
Gunda
