Dear all,
I successfully updated my 1.8 installation to the last available,
14.3.20150908.
All things are working fine, except emails : when I send an email, my
browser freezes and email window takes about 20 minutes to close itself.
Users think that the email was not sent, so they repeat the same action many
times…
I’m still using the same email server (hMailServer) that I used with 1.8 and
I never had any problem with it.
Never heard of that problem either.
How can I fix it please ?
Before fixing it we need an idea what’s going wrong:

check if hMailServer has any logs which might shed some light on the issue

check Apache error-log at time of sending the mail

enable smtp-log in emailadmin/inc/class.emailadmin_account.inc.php on
line 188:

- Path to log smtp comunication to or null to not log
*/
const SMTP_DEBUG_LOG = ‘/tmp/smtp.log’;
That will log all comunication with SMTP server.
