I have an issue and a question regarding sending text messages from
EGroupware. First the issue. I can use Google Voice to send text
messages from EGroupware, but in the class.notifications_sms.inc.php
function send_sms(), the regex to validate the cell phone number doesn’t
seem to work. I could never get "!preg_match(’/48[^0][0-9]{8}/’, $cell)"
to return false no matter what phone number I tried. I ended up changing
it to “strlen($cell) < 6”, which seemed pretty safe as the previous line
was stripping out all non-numeric characters. Has anybody actually got
this feature working without making a similar change?
The question I have is that I would like to add a feature and I don’t
know where to begin. I would like to add an option to the action list on
the address book to send a text message. So it would work like (for
example) “Export As VCard” where it would call some code with the
selected contacts as a parameter. Can anybody please point me in the
right direction?
