Sitemgr + session handling in 1.6

Hi,

There is something wrong with the Sitemgr when the site located in the
Document root, at least when I use fcgid.
I cannot edit existing sites, because when I click to a link (sub-page
etc.), I lost the session and egw kicks me out.

Some news.
It seems, the problem exist, if I edit the site own’s Sitemgr site.

In other words:
There is a domain, called mysite.tld
sitemgr-site is in its document root: /
If I edit the site: mysite.tld, after click on a link entry in the site,
it kicks me out.
If I edit an alias (different domain name, but same path) I can edit it
without problem.

Sounds like the session cookie get’s not send back to the server,
because it’s the wrong domain.

There are 2 ways to deal with that:
a) set a cookie domain which includes both domains, eg. ".domain.com"
for www.domain.com and egw.domain.com
b) use an url to edit the site, that contains the session-id, that eg.
the link in the sidebox menu

There are 2 ways to deal with that:

I tried to set up to .domain.com but does not work. The same situation,
kicks me out.
As I saw in the log, the sessionid passed correctly.

I made a video about this (less than a minut).
I will make a new one to show how does it work with the alias etc. and I
will publish it for developers.
It will be much clear to see, what happens than writing about it.

Anyway, because I use fcgid for php, maybe it is related to this.

Ok, this was a PEBCAK related to me

The path of the cookie was the egroupware’s path, which was not correct.
Using Default (Document Root) the problem is gone.

Thank you again, I will close the Tracker ticket soon.
