Snv status -u: request failed

Hi,

I am just checking some things with subversion. I am not good at subversion yet, question may sound stupid:
I can checkout from http://svn.egroupware.org/egroupware/branches/1.4/aliases/default . all right.
But I can’ t do a svn status -u
"svn: REPORT request failed on 'http://svn.egroupware.org/egroupware/branches/1.4/wiki’
svn: REPORT of ‘http://svn.egroupware.org/egroupware/branches/1.4/etemplate’: 403 Forbidden (http://svn.egroupware.org)"
If I use ./svn-helper.php status -u
it doesn’t work, neither.
svn stauts -v works just fine
running subversion 1.4.4

Please help me.

Hi,

okay I found something http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2005-10/0858.shtml
seems to be a more detailed description of the problem I have. But no solution.
svn status gives me the possibiltiy to pass arguments like username und password, but I don’t know which username or password to use (there is none, is there?) Perhaps I should try anonymous or something alike.

svn status --show- updates gives the same error

perhaps I have to “to switch an anonymous workingcopy to a developers one:” like written in the egw-wiki and do this ssh2-Key things in order to be able te execute status -u correctly? But I don’t want to commit, I just want to see if there my be any conflicts if I update my customised installation …

Next thing I will try is to search the logs with my admin, which I suppose will give similar results as described in the link …

any ideas appreciated

Hi,

okay, now I have a possible reason for the error. Just as I thougt, it might have something to do with the fact that I had only a read-only working copy. It is a subversion Bug, which was fixed in subversion 1.4.2
"* fixed: ‘svn status -u’ fails in a read-only working copy (r21904, -19)"
have a look at http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/CHANGES

which Version is the subversion server? Could it be updated ( I need a least 1.4.2)?
If not I will have do these ssh2 developing-copy things and try again.
It may have to do with my SWIG-Version, too, because I had some problems with it during installtion, but I see no connection of the error with SWIG at the moment.

Since the last weekend (that egw server had problems) my svn commands don’t
work either…

svn checkout
http://svn.egroupware.org/egroupware/branches/1.4/aliases/default .

returns me:

Hi,

I didn’t know how to change the Repositories URL of an existing working copy. Just to checkout the URL below I made a knew checkout. Checkout did work (did work all the time for me). status -u still doesn’t work.

I already assumed the proposal with the other URL addressed the “cannot checkout problem”. But I wanted to try anyway. I already wrote, what I think is the reason for my problem
