SOLVED: Email vs. on screen notices for Tracker and InfoLog

I just upgraded from 1.8 to 14.3.20150826. Kudos, the UI/UX is vastly improved.

We are using pixelegg and when I am logged into egroupware, notices from the tracking system and infolog show up as modal windows directly in the application. Cool!

When I am logged out, they are sent by email. Nice!

I’d really like a way to always have notices sent by email even when I’m logged into the application.

There are cases where I’ll step away from my desk without logging out of egroupware and it’s nice to still get updates by email on my phone.

Is this possible?

Of course as soon as I post I figure it out. I’ll just leave this here in case somebody else is stuck with the same thing.

1. Make sure that all users have run access for the Notices application. It doesn’t show up in your side menu but you need to have it so that you can…

2. In the notices application preferences, set it to EGroupware popup and email.
