Today we made the switch from a egroupware-epl-14.3.20150826 to egroupware-epl-16.1.20161208.
Out old 14.3 installation used .tar.gz files. For the new 16.1 we are now using the suggested repo installation method on CentOS.
The one sticky point surrounds the location of the files directory.
Previously we located this directory in /var/intrafiles and it has many years worth of files located there.
In configuring the new 16.1 installation, the installer complained that /var/intrafiles did not exist.
It does and is set with the correct permissions:
ls -ld /var/intrafiles/
drwx------ 3 apache apache 4096 Jan 29 2014 /var/intrafiles/
inside that folder we have:
ls -l /var/intrafiles/
total 4
drwx------ 30 apache apache 4096 Nov 21 07:55 sqlfs
I’ve read the suggestion concerning setting open_basedir and tried the following in the apache config for this host:
php_admin_value open_basedir “/var:/var/intrafiles”
It does not work.
If I change the configuration to use the default value of:
/var/lib/egroupware/default/files
Everything works as expected but we lose access to all files (like tracker attachments).
This is a dedicated server owned by us so we can do any administrative tasks you suggest. We are not using any kind of control panel to administer the site.
Can anybody help us get access to 5+ years of files? :~)
Eternally grateful,
Rob
