Dear eGW developers,
today I will write you two requests for little changes in eGW and ask
you two questions. I hope you will respect my email at this dev-list…
C1 - Nokia N95 8GB
Please add
- — 8< | code —
case ‘n95 8gb’:
- — >8 | /code —
to $egwroot/syncml/contacts/lib/api.php in line 1002. This allows a
propper identification for the Nokia N95 8GB. (ATM it is identified as
"6600".)
C2 - add if-statements to .htaccess
Everytime I update my eGW I have to change my .htaccess. I’m using fcgi
and think there only should be a if-statement in the default .htaccess
to work out-of-the-box.
ATM I have the following .htacces that works with fcgi and should work
with PHP as a (normal) module:
- — 8< | code — # .htaccess for eGW 1.8.001
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule .* -
[E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},L]
Set # # AllowOverride FileInfo # # to enable parsing off this file
php_flag file_uploads on
php_flag log_errors on
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
php_flag magic_quotes_runtime off
php_flag register_globals off
php_flag short_open_tag on
php_flag track_vars on
php_flag display_errors off
#php_value error_reporting 'E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE &
~E_STRICT = 8191 - 8 - 2048 = 6135'
php_value error_reporting 6135
php_value max_execution_time 90
php_value memory_limit 256M
php_value session.gc_maxlifetime 14400
php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
php_value post_max_size 65M
# session handling: now the check for expired sessions is done
on every 10th session creation
#php_flag session.use_trans_sid Off
#php_value session.gc_probability 1
#php_value session.gc_divisor 10
# multibyte extension: needed for utf-8
#php_value mbstring.func_overload 7

Q1 - country names
Can someone explain why all country names in eGW are uppercase!? - I
can’t see any reasons, it’s wrong for me. :-/
Q2 - display lag
Please do the following steps to reproduce the lag for displaying the
correct values in the addressbook:
- login at your eGW
- change a contact value on your mobile (i.e. “title”)
- sync it with your eGW
- in your browser go to the addressbook and search (in all contacts)
for the changed (at step 2.) contact
- click on the “reading-glass” symbol
Now I have the old value (before step 2.) displayed - i.e. title. This
doesn’t change if I close the view and open it again (and again and
…). I have to click “Accept” to see the changed value or take a
logout/login process.
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Kai
