Hi all,
We are very happy to release today a new application for eGroupware,
this application was developped first to meet our needs but it might be
useful to many.
The SpiAudit module is a tool to conduct audit and print audit reports
in eGroupware (in pdf).
Of course, it fits our needs first (conduct IT security audits and
keeping these checklists up-to-date) and for sure there are more
versatile or industrial tools (from Excel/Word to dedicated software),
but we found it interesting to have this kind of tool in eGroupware…
The main element in the app is the audit, related to one audit type,
with chapters/sub-chapters each made of questions/answers/checkpoints,
with comments/recommendations… There is no much rights on it (no ACL),
no access restriction, but it’s something we may think about, among
other improvements…

This application:
- should work with eGroupware 14.x (tested on Linux/Apache/PHP 5.3.3),
- is coded within eGroupware coding rules as much as possible, and with
eTemplate,
- is open source (same GPL licence as eGroupware),
- is available in English and French.
Translations are welcome and we shall integrate the translation files we
may receive for the next versions.
