Still sufferring with PEAR problem :-(

Dear all,

please show me the way. I am still suffering with “PEAR installed: false”

though I have pear5 installed as

pear5 config-get php_dir

/usr/share/php5/PEAR

the /etc/php.ini has

include_path = “.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/php5/PEAR”

still egw install tool can’t find the prear. how can I check the log to find where egw is looking for pear during
installation ? kindly help me.

Hi,

have a look in setup/check_install.php. It’s an old-fashioned linear
script, with a function to do the pear-checks.

The first thing I would check is: does eGW use the include path you
gave, eg. by using the phpinfo in eGW’s admin.

Hi Ralf and all responders,
finally I have solved the problem. The problem is funny. I concentrated
on /etc/php.ini but the file which php was looking for is
/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini. I have come to know about it by placing a
file called php.info with the code in its body as below

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

after that I modify its include_path according to the pear and restarted
the apache. now eGw can access the pear and pear log.
