Ralf, all:
I have a new box with openSuSE 11.0 and was performing a fresh install of
trunk retrieved from svn. check_install went fine. However, manageheader.php is
stuck in some type of endless loop and I can never get to the setup screen to
create the databases. I have tried downloading the header.inc.php and copying
it into place, I have tried giving it permissions of 0770 to directly "write"
the configuration, but still when I click “continue” I am returned back to
manageheader.php with the following message at the top of the screen.
Your header.inc.php needs upgrading.
WARNING!
MAKE BACKUPS!
I have done this at least 10 times, why is it giving me trouble now?
Additionally, if I try and access /egroupware as a test, it gives the
following error (expected) and provides a “Click here” link to run setup and
just returns me back to manageheader.php.
Any ideas. Has to be simple, but I’m just missing it.
Ralf,
There is definitely a bug in the managerheader.php routine in svn. After
struggling with the new install, I copied another header.inc.php from a working
install that was originally 1.4 then upgraded to trunk svn. After copying the
old header.inc.php into place, the rest of the install worked like a charm.
I have attached both the new/failed header and the old/working header for your
review. They are named .svn151 and .1.4, respectively. Let me know if I can
test or send anything else. Thanks.
