John,
After some further digging it appears that it is a nextmatch_widget validation
error (which would have occurred if the class didn’t exist in the first place -
my bad). I’m not sufficiently familiar with the egroupware codebase that I can
tell you precisely what is occurring but it appears that the message may occur
if the database is corrupted - in which case the error is a misleading.
Hopefully someone more familiar with the codebase can chime in and shed more
light if I’m wrong.

Sounds like the nextmatch_widget class was deleted. Make sure the file
./egroupware/etemplate/inc/class.nextmatch_widget.inc.php exists.
That was the first thing I checked, the file is there with the right
permissions and unaltered since the (successful) install.
It looks to me as though the parameter passed to the method is wrong, but
I’m baffled as to why.

Subject: [eGroupWare-developers] Sudden error in Address Book
I have the following error message from PHP when I try to add a new
contact:
nextmatch_widget::pre_process(nm): ‘’ is no valid method !!!
I have been able to add contacts before, so obviously something has gone
wrong. Could someone point me in the right direction please?
John
