Hi all
I’ve been trying to get my new mobile phone (Nokia 6300) to synchronise with my address book and calendar (events and todos), but without success, so I wonder if anyone can help.
My PIM stuff is all on an eGroupware server and I use the KDE apps (kontact, kaddressbook) or the web interface to get to it. I’d like to have a way of synchronising this with my Nokia 6300 phone.
I’ve installed and configured gnokii with a USB interface, so I can now access all of the phone’s details, but can’t find anything that will synchronise with both ends.
Kitchensync doesn’t work at all, as far as I can tell (though if someone knows how to get this going, I’m happy to give it a try). Multisync 0.90 can synchronise between the phone and a local KDE address book & calendar, but cannot cope with eGroupware. KAddressbook can copy all the contacts from egroupware to the phone (overwriting or appending) and can copy in the other direction too (appending only). I can’t use SyncML directly from the phone because my phone service provider won’t let me set it up and the data charges would be extortionate anyway so would like to do something over the USB interface. Any ideas?
I can connect the phone to a linux machine with gnokii, or a windows machine with the Nokia PC-Suite installed, whichever is most appropriate.
Thanks!
