SyncML bringt mich noch zum Wahnsinn

SyncML macht mich noch wahnsinnig!

Ich habe gerade den RC8 noch einmal komplett neu installiert.

Dabei bin ich so vorgegangen, wie es im SyncML HowTo beschrieben ist.

Beim Versuch mit Outlook mit SyncJe zu synchronisieren erhalte ich
immer die folgenden Fehlermeldungen:

Beim Versuch mit dem P910 zu synchronisieren kommt immer nur
Synchronisation fehlgeschlagen.

Hallo EGW!

Das ist genau das, was ich auch suche. Mein Vater möchte auch sein P 910 mit
EGW syncen. Ist Sync ML da eine brauchbare Lösung oder sollte man besser das
EGWOSync verwenden?

Ich stelle mir das so vor:

EGW<=>Outlook<=>P 910

Oder gits da Probleme, da ich das Outlook von zwei Seiten Synche?

Sorry, dass ich hier nicht zur Lösung beitragen kann!!

Aber welche Vorteile bringt mir dann das EGWo Sync? Irgendwie habe ich das
Gefühl, dass alle da auf Updates vom Esben warten…

Allgemeiner gefragt wo sind die Vorteile/Nachteile dieser beiden Systeme?

Hallo Stefen,

es gehen beide Wege. Welchen man nimmt hängt von den Anwendungen und
Bedürfnissen an. Und davon welches Dein führendes System ist.

Bei mir ist eben das P910i das führende System. Und eGW ist mein
Hauptspeichersystem. Also bevorzuge ich die direkte Synchronisation zwischen
P910i und eGW. Die Kostenseite ist dabei von untergeordneter Bedeutung. Da
mein Notebook bald eh ein MAC ist ist die Synchronisation mit Outlook nicht
mehr relevant. Interessant wäre allerdings dann eine Synchronisation direkt
mit Entourage.

Aber wenn die Kosten eine Rolle Spielen kannst Du eGW mit Outlook
synchronisieren und dann das Handy über USB mit Outlook. Aber bei dieser
Kette besteht auch die Gefahr dass irgendwann mal Informationen verlohren
gehen.

Ich hoffe ich konnte Dir Deine vielen Fragen zufriedenstellend beantworten.

1. Sync Outlook <=> EGW:
   Warum wird den EGWoSync enwickelt, wenns doch Sync ML tut?? Was kann das was
   Sync ML nicht kann??

2. Sync P910 via GPRS:
   Ist es teuer via GPRS zu syncen? Dürften ja eigentlich nicht so viele Daten
   übertragen werden!? Aber klingt natürlich verführerisch immer und überall
   seinen P910 zu aktuaisieren!

3. Sync ML:
   Funktioniert Sync ML auch bei Pocket PCs mit Windows CE/Mobile?

Nochmal viele Fragen! :?

Hallo an Alle,

ich lese hier immer wieder syncML und P910. Hat es schon einmal jemand
geschafft, dasP910 mit eGW zu syncronisieren?
Bei mit steht im eGW log immer: falsches Passwort oder falscher Benutzername.

Mehr funktioniert leider nicht.
Falls es jemand geschafft hat würde ich mich uber einen Tip freuen.
