Howdy all,
I have some questions regarding the use of the syncml client software to
sync palms (wifi) with our egw setup.
The user has a palm, installed test version of the syncml client, to
evaluate before purchase.
He tries to sync with the url /egroupware/rpc.php and has the
calendar config set to ‘calendar’ but it will not sync.
Do i need to turn something on in the server? I have our production site
running branch 1.2 with latest fixes and a test server with the trunk on it.
Both have the syncml directory and setup shows the apps installed. I don’t
have any sort of admin configuration setup that I can see. Are there setup
docs I just can’t seem to find on the egroupware.orgwiki/forums/knowledgebase?
Thanks for any help,
erics

Eric,
Start by looking here for setup info depending on which client you use. Also look here for info on how to debug the connection. Enable logging on the client side and see what’s reported there, you can also look at your webserver’s log files (under /var/log/httpd on most RPM-based Linux systems) to see if your connection attempts even get to the server. A sniffer like tcpdump or ethereal could also be of value if you know how to use it.
Francois.
