Syncml issue with Outlook (small patch included)

I just ran into a problem using the Funambol connector for Outlook and egroupware.
There were errors in the apache logs during sync from Outlook to egroupware, and some of the content was not entirely transfered although the contact was created properly.

It turned out to be the fact that commas were being used in the “note” fields, and everything after the comma was just ignored.
After some debugging I added the following line to the iCalendar.php file :

— iCalendar.php (revision 27308)
+++ iCalendar.php (working copy)
@@ -612,6 +612,7 @@
case ‘ADR’:
case ‘N’:
case ‘ORG’:

          case 'NOTE':

               $value = trim($value);

And it solved the problem. I’m afraid it’s not a 100% foolproof hack as I looked at horde’s latest version of the file and they seem to do lot more complex tests regarding vcard version and character escaping now.

Hi,

makes sense to me - thought it might be better to add it to our tracker
(www.egroupware.org/bugs) and assign it to application SyncML.
