Hello Egroupwarers!

I’ve been testing out trunk and thought I’d share my findings. I pulled in an existing database and that could be the cause of some of my issues, but I’m not certain yet. If this is not the appropriate forum for my comments, please send me away

1. FeLaMiMail : blank email list on first load. Seems to be an existing bug (#3231) Quick fix for this one yet? I looked around and have not seen anything yet.
2. FeLaMiMail : the automatic save-as-draft pops an error saying it’s disconnected. I believe I can make the time interval longer in the js, but there is probably a better solution. Perhaps turning it off completely? Leaving the IMAP connections open longer is not an option.
3. Filemanager : You can no longer click a directory name itself, and when you use the little arrow icon, you get error “Argument 3 passed to etemplate_widget_nextmatch::ajax_get_rows() must be an array, null given” * Work-around for me is right click and choose Open to navigate inside the directory.
4. Cross browser issue? In Firefox, on most “Links” tabs, clicking the links result in opening a blank window or tab. Using Chrome, it doesn’t do this. Can I fix this js call using etemplates?

Well, that’s it for now. If anyone has anything to share on the above items, I’d love to hear from you.

Cant say much about the first 2, thought I wonder if it was working
before for you.

Hmm, can not reproduce that

Can you describe in more detail what exactly you are doing.

For 1: it most probably is a $j is not defined error in JavaScript that prevents the loading of the message area. could not track that bugger down up until now
For 2: are ou using the IMAP Timeout option in FeLaMiMail -> Preferences?, and it is set to 10?

Our previous version was also a trunk (roughly a year old), and did not have this bug. (I think I read somewhere that this one started in March, but I could be wrong…)
Apache error log says something like this when it happens:

RE #2 Auto-Save-Draft , the error occurs after leaving a compose window up for a while, and says this:
An error happened
failed to remove immediately Message(s) from INBOX.Drafts: 5 due to:‘not connected! (CMD:UID STORE)’

RE #3 Filemanager directory clicks
I’m going to downgrade the etemplate version to see if that fixes it. (I already downgraded ‘projectmanager.elements.list.rows’ to the previous version because the latest one didn’t contain the “action” icons anymore.)

RE #4 (Cross-Browser Javascript weirdness)
Let me try explaining again, I’ll give a specific example:
In our projects we frequently have a calendar entry linked to the project, so, going to the calendar and clicking one of the events to bring up the popup, navigate to the Links tab. Underneath where it says “Existing Links” it has a back link to the project. When I click that link in Firefox, I get a blank page (no url) but in Chrome, it brings up the proper page.

As far as I debugged it so far it has to do with our attempts to control the sequence of script loading.
This was introduced around march, true, as we are working on a new release regarding UI and Backend/Frontend Communication.
We ran into all sorts of issues, and most of them could be resolved by using the LAB libraries to buffer script loading. But this one refuses my/our attempts so far.

RE #2 Auto-Save-Draft : could be that we are checking the connected state on Auto-Save of drafts by checking the _connected flag, but connection itself may be closed; as we reuse an already constructed Object from cache (if available).
I will check that, allthough on construct of ajaxfelamimail, we open the connection in line 66 of ajaxfelamimail.
We could however set the $this->icServer->_connected property to 0, just a line before that.
that way we would force a connection attempt even if the icServer object reports that it is connected.
Would you care to try, and tell if this resolves that issue?

I added this line
$this->icServer->_connected = 0;
right before this line @66
$this->_connectionStatus = $this->bofelamimail->openConnection($this->imapServerID);

I tested by leaving a compose window up for about 5 minutes; the error still occurs.
Is this the change you meant?

yes that was my assumption, Hmm.
I will test some more, if I am able to reproduce that. I fiddled some stuff on friday, that should prevent unwanted switches of profile, that could have caused something like that if conditions where just right, but, …

guess i tracked it down. cocompose saveAsDraft closes the connection after saving.
closing within one instance, kills the connection of another . rats.
fast fix would be not to close the connection in bocompose saveAsDraft

I grabbed 43322 this morning, and it looks like Klaus fixed the Autosave Draft error!

Also, another of my found bugs was squashed! (Calendar $$variables$$ were not populating)

You egroupware guys are awesome!
