Ralf, all,
Has there been any work on a lightweight egw interface for
handhelds/iphone/tablet type devices that would reduce the egw bandwidth for
3G/4G network access? I don’t know if it is particularly required since most
rendering is client-side, but I thought I would check. Anybody looked into
whether this makes sense and might be worth pursuing?
EPL has a special calendar optimized for phones with small display, but
offering accessing all calendars a user has rights to access.
EPL 11.1 now have the new eSync app which implements ActiveSync protocol
(based on z-Push). That’s supported by all Smartphones and easy to set
up: one setup for calendar, addressbook and mail.
EPL 11.1 is good usable on iPad or bigger Android tables. There are some
modifications to improve mobile browser support.
