Hi All
So I’ve got PHP7.2 running along PHP5.6 on my CentOS 7 machine, and eGroupware is happily using PHP7 (looks like a great speed improvement too btw).
The problem is, my package manager won’t let me remove PHP5.6 without also removing all the eGroupware packages to satisfy dependencies. So my question to you all: is it safe to go ahead and then reinstall eGroupware without overwriting the configuration? If not, what should I back up/restore afterwards?
Or, is there a way to trick the package manager into purging the obsolete php56 stuff without also removing eGroupware and without descending into rpm hell?
Thanks for your time
