Hi,
/not exactly the same way/ but, the addressbook seem(ed) to be ‘importing’
properly when restoring entire backup of the database - including the
’custom’ fields;
(this way also (at least seems to) restores the infolog & other
inter-application links)
el es
This was exactly how it worked for me.
I also did an export/import of all the contacts during a clean-up exercise.
For this, I used a desktop carddav client (Kaddressbook) to perform the
export/import using VCS files.
I use the same method to migract contacts into eGroupware for people who have
been using Outlook.

When I try to use vcard vcf file, it always give me this error when
importing: Encoding mismatch. Expected file, you uploaded utf-8.
Test only:
0 records processed.
Insert: 21
We have 2000+ contacts in the address book so I have to transfer it
properly. Please help.

We are using EGroupware Community Version 1.8.004. Now I am testing the
new V14.3.007 and I couldn’t figure out how the transfer the address
book from v1.8 to v14.
I tried export (csv and vcard) from v1.8 then import in v14, but no
success.
Could some one give me a help.
Thanks a lot.
