Hi!
I installed a new instance of eGroupWare on a new server, and wanted to
manage the accounts through LDAP. Everything worked fine during the install.
Now, I’d like to transfer the accounts from the old server (SQL accounts) to
the new one.
I can write LDIF files from the export format, and import the accounts in my
LDAP, but passwords don’t work. I made sure the format was in both cases
defined as “md5”, but passwords look still different. For example, if I
define the password “123456” in SQL, the md5 result is
"e10adc3949ba59abbe56e057f20f883e". But with my LDAP “md5” account, the same
"123456" password is stored as “e21kNX00UXJjT1VtNldhdStWdUJYOGcrSVBnPT0=”
(as I read it with slapcat).
Of course, when I transfer the accounts from SQL to LDAP, passwords don’t
work anymore.
Why do it so complicated by hand?
If you have a working SQL install, just go to setup, add your LDAP
details and let EGroupware transfer the accounts to LDAP.
