Hi Robert
I did it in different computers, with different results. Things to
consider:
Is it an old Ubuntu upgraded until 12.04 or if it started as 12.04?
Starting fresh makes things a lot easier, because frequently we carry
forgoten customizations or hacks that were necessary sometime in the past
that now become a problem;
Are you behind a proxy that needs authentication? This has become hell in
Ubuntu, since you need to modify some files by hand to make apt work, for
instance;
Are you sure you added the correct entry in *
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/egroupware.sources.list*? I know this sounds silly,
but I’ve seen often (and I did myself once) faulty entries, like
deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/eGroupWare/Debian_6.0/./
missing the final ./ and/or forgeting to change Debian_6.0 by your true
Ubuntu verison.
