Feels like I’m speaking Chiniese to you
I said if you do NOT exclicitly turn the backup off, it will be done
automatic on every schema upgrade.
The other thing I said: if you restore the database, after running the
schema upgrade, you have to run it again, aka. there’s no point in restoring
the database after running a schema upgrade.
So far the debain packages only replace the the sources, but not saves you
from running the schema upgrade via setup. That might change in the future,
was we have now in the development version a command line interface to do
so.

Hi,
- setup create the DB backup automatic for a schema update, if you
dont
switch it off
So that means I should switch off automatic schema update?
Where do I do that? Actually browsing around in the Admin tool, I
can’t find anything about a backup at all. Where do I find that?

- step 9, makes no sense to me: because after the restore, you need
to run
the update again …
So does that mean I just skip step 9 or is there something else I
should do instead of step 9?

I hope our debian maintainer finds time to update the debian
packages, after
Lars creates a new bugfix release (1.2.104) the next days.
As a debian (and now kubuntu) user, I am used to their apt-get update
process and would be happier just using that but waiting for the
debian package to get updated and then get into the kubuntu
repositories could take forever I am afraid . . . .
Thanks for the help!
