Unable to download Egroupware package using composer

Hi,

I am unable to run “php composer.phar install” command to get the full package of Egroupware 20.1.20201028
Getting following error on running above command.

The PEAR repository has been removed from Composer 2.0

I am using Linux system with PHP 7.1 and MySQL 5.5

Can anyone please let me know how can I download package with all dependencies ?

You need to downgrade composer to before 2.0, eg. 1.8.6 as we do in our Docker installation:

Anyway PHP 7.1 is to old, you need at least 7.2. MySQL 5.5 is fine, but slow, recommended is MariaDB 10.4.

Why not use our packages aka. the Docker installation, if you are on a Linux system? It takes care of everything.
