Unable to drag and drop a file

Hi all,

After upgrading 17.1 to 19.1, I am unable to drag and drop a file while composing an email. it just opens the attached file in a browser instead of attaching a file. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong??

Hi Adnan,

nothing’s really changed. Only the HTML editor has been replaced.

Do you write a HTML mail?
In which area of the window do you drag the file?
What kind of file(-type) are you trying?

Yes I am writing an HTML mail

I dragged and drop a Pdf file.

Text-mail are no Problem. You can use the whole window.

In HTML-Mail you can drop in this area a picture (jpg, png), but not other. Drop a pdf outside the text-area elsewere in the window.

But it was the same in 17.1. Or was it not?

You have enabled browser internal pdf-viewer?

it works flawlessly when I drag and drop a file other than the HTML editor.

I am using Google Chrome.
