Uncaught TypeError LAB.src.js

Why is it this new js LAB.src.js is returning uncaught typeerror in the sitemgr (front-end)?

The code above create conflicts with etemplate having ajax select in the sitemgr. The ajax select is not loading, thus not returning values when you type the box. Commenting that code above was my tentative solution to solve the issue. Can you review it?

commenting out a general functionality in API, because something not
working on a special condition in one app (sitemgr) makes no sense.

But we currently have no time to look into a problem an old eTemplate
base SiteMgr module has in Trunk.
