Hi, I tried to upgrade from 1.8 to 14.1 but I just couldn’t make it work.
I managed to bring and apparently convert successfully all data but for some reason whenever I log in any user will get logged out immediately. There is no apparent errors anywhere. I’m using AD auth and it has been working with 1.8 just fine.
AD authentication cant be reason for it, as failure to authenticate show
up as “Wrong username or password” and you stay on login page.
If you are logged out immediately it can be a couple of things:
- problem with php-session extension and it’s configuration, eg.
directory (session.save_path) does not exist
- you are behind a load-balancing proxy, which permanently changes your
IP-address, need to go to Admin >> Site configuration and disable IP
address check for session
- browser denies to store session cookie
- you have old cookies eg. in a partial domain (eg. cookie for
domain.com when EGroupware uses egw.domain.com)
How to get more information what goes wrong?
First check above, if that leads to no result, you can enable
debug-messages to php error_log in session class
phpgwapi/inc/class.egw_session.inc.php.
