Upgrading to 1.6 - What's really needed

Hi . I work on a shared host with php 5.2.5 and Mysql 4.1.22.
Previously i had egroupware 1.4 . It installed fine with no warning during installation checks.

I’ve removed completely egroupware 1.4 (i was just testing it) and installed the 1.6 version.
Now i have few warnings in the check-install part : Auth_SASL, Net_IMAP, Net_Sieve ,ect are not found.
But they were there with 1.4! And i only remove db and inst directory to install the new version.

As a consequence Felamimail does not work, giving dependency failures.
I’ve noticed that a requirement for 1.6 is Mysql 5.2.
Is this why i’m getting this failures?
Why the check install part for 1.6 does not see some of the components (Net_IMAP, Auth_SASL… etc) that the 1.4 was giving as installed?

I had confirmation from my Hosting Provider that all the required modules are installed.
Felamimail was working previously just fine but not now.
This seems strange to me. I can only possibly link it to a bug in the new installation check or the mysql version issue (5.2 required for eq1.6).
Can someone confirm ?

Where do you get this nonsense?

There’s no change in the MySQL requirement from 1.4 to 1.6.

What changed is the php version: required is now 5.1, recommended 5.2.

could you tell me the errors you get?
What package did you use? the Preview-Release: 1.6, or an svn checkout of
trunk?

Hi Klaus,
I get a XML_Feed_Parser and Auth_SASL missing .
Both have been confirmed to be installed . On Egw 1.4 they were passing the test.

On a different level (not sure if related) i get a 403 error while trying to update site configuration in the admin section, even if the user is an admin, in an admin group, with the admin section enabled.

Any ideas?

A SASL_Auth Problem was fixed there. (But this is not related to the setup’s
installation warning)
If it goes away, fine. If not …
