In 14.3.005 is there a preference to control the Video Tutorial in the menu’s to Disable/Enable or Show Expanded/Condensed?

Hi,

In 14.3.005 is there a preference to control the Video Tutorial in the menu’s
to Disable/Enable or Show Expanded/Condensed?
Every user can dismiss the introduction by either viewing it or clicking
on “No thanks” when asked to view it.

Video Sidebox shows expanded first, like all new sideboxes, and can then
be minimized by the user, which get’s remembered after logging off.

Admin >> Site configuration allows to disable video tutorial completely.

If anyone else is looking to do this add $GLOBALS[‘egw_info’][‘server’][‘egw_tutorial_disable’] = true; to your header.inc.php

That’s what I wrote you, thought I suggested to do that in site
configuration through the database.

Anyway, I’m curios: why do you want to disable video tutorials?

Please don’t misinterpret, the tutorials are a great asset!

My user base (<10 in total) consists of mostly casual users and 2 power users (one being me) that have been using EGW for 4-5+ years. In my situation less is more.

Did find anything in

Hi Zorg,

Assuming that your instance is up-to-date then you should be able to see a setting (see attached image) under Admin->Site configuration called “Disable EGroupware Tutorial” which has four options on it. If you select “All” then it will disable the video tutorials in sideboxes plus the video introduction dialog. No need to change header.inc.php.

Please let me know if after updating your instance still don’t get the options.

With le last version 14.3.20151130

When en choose in the select box admin->Site configuration called “Disable
EGroupware Tutorial” all or whatever

Nothing happen the video tutorial are always here
