When clicking on a link, tab with corresponding app is opened

Scenario: I’m in Infolog index, with no other app loaded.

If I click on a link to eg. timesheet, then a popup with the timesheet appears, which is expected.
However, the timesheet app is also opened in a new tab.

This is understandable since the app needs to be loaded, but it really messes with the user experience while someone is working on infolog. Especially when there are a lot of apps and links.

Are there any workarounds? eg. opening the new tab without changing the focus to the new app?

Hi Filippos,

i can add a time sheet to the infolog with right mouse/ add time sheet,save it and no timesheet-app is opened.

Hello Stefan,

yes this is true. Since this is just an action passed via $content, you can easily modify and manipulate anything in the backend.

The issue is when you want to actually display an entry in the interface (not timesheet specifically, this was just an example).

I don’t have an issue with the app opening. I believe this is necessary for the current egroupware architecture, given that the app.js file needs to be loaded. My issue is that it takes the focus away from the user’s current app.
