Wiki and egw: protocol images question

on the egroupware site it says

"Wiki knows two eGW specific protocols in urls:

* egw: are relative to the eGW install-dir: if they end in .php, they are passed though the link-function, to include session-information eg. Your Preferences or they can reference images (egw: <app>/<image>), these images are useing / respecting the template-set."

But i have been trying this and i can’t seem to get it to work and display any images from the templates. Can someone give me a “real-world” example of how to link to one of these images?
