Calendar notification in 17.1 for goup of users

Hi,
there is some strange behaviour in new notification system in 17.1. I mean the side bar system. When add new event and add participants one by one from the list of users, then is everything all right. Each participant will receive notification and can react by one click on tentative,reject or accept in the notification side bar…
But when add group of participant, then each participant of that group have to click twice on tentative,reject or accept. When such user click just once nothing happened. So no response to event creator and no change in calendar. When such user react (click) in mail notification, everything goes right. One click is enough.

So the problem is only in side bar notification system. Can you verify that, the same is happening on your system ? Or point me how to fix it ?

no it is in 17.1.20180209. And in 17.1.20180321 the same thing happens as well.

I will try to describe little closer what is happening. In three steps.

I found out that if someone create event with group participants, there heappens this.

1. immediately after creation I can see in calendar event in participant field, name of group with question mark “No response” behind and name of creator with “accepted” mark behind.
2. when any member of the group once click on any of (tentative,reject,accept) his name will appear with question mark “No response” behind it in calendar event in participant field. Along with with the same as in 1.
3. when the member from point 2 click for second time on tentative or reject or accept, the status in calendar event in participant field changed in such user according to what he click. And in the same time creator will recive notification. No notification after first click.

I can confirm the twice clicking issue on popup notifications. As you also mentioned, this is not a recent issue within yesterday packages and seems that haven’t been spotted before. I will investigate it more and will fix it soon.

The issue is fixed and you may replace content of calendar/inc/class.calendar_uiform.inc.php with the following new version of the file:

Hi Hadi,
I tried to mark it as solved. I hope I have done it right on right place.
Because my deutsch is very poor. And in english forum is still lot of
german words. Fortunately there is plenty online dictyonaries
It would be great to heave it completely in english.
