Dear,

I upgraded Egroupware to 19.1 almost two months ago. From the past two or three weeks, the system performance is really bad it took more than 15 seconds or more time to load any page. Sometimes I even have to completely reload the page and log in again. It’s not working efficiently as earlier. Anyone other facing the same performance issue.

Kind Regards,
Adnan

Hi Adnan,

I maintain 3 installations. Two on 19.11 and another one on 17.1. Never could I notice such behavior.
So this doesn’t seem to be a general problem.

A few questions I can think of:

  • Did that start after an EGroupware update?
  • Does the system have enough reserves (RAM, CPU, hard disk)?
  • Can the system resolve its own name correctly (DNS problems would be typical)?
  • Does the problem only occur in-house or externally?
  • Which browser do you use? Is this similar with other browsers?
  • Have you looked at behavior with web developer tools (browser) (network)?
  • Have you ever restarted the server? Does anything change after a restart?

Regards
Stefan

Hello @StefanU,

Sorry for late,

The performance problem arises after the update the previous version 17.1 working really smoothly.

Yes, the system have enough resources.

No DNS Problem.

occur externally and in-house.

Using Google chrome, mozila as well as opera facing the same problem.

I got this error when I checked the Network tab under the developer tools. I think so there is a prblem with the rocket chat its not properly setup in our system. Is there any option than I can disable rocket chat from my Egroupware.?

Restarted the server several times but performance didn’t met.

Hello @StefanU,

there is no default tab under the Admin panel to revoke the execution rights of any application from the users.

You probably still have Rocket.Chat? Maybe through the admin group.

What about a user who definitely has no rocket chat? Does the user have performance problems?

Stefan

That’s what that means. The user therefore has no
grafik
any more?

Stefan

Now every user has better performance than earlier.

Then watch this for a few days now. Then you should assign Rocket.chat again and look again. If it gets worse again we have to look for the cause. This has to work…

Stefan

Perfect, Thank you for your support. I will let you know about the system performance after few days.

Hi Adnan,

has it gotten better?
As a comparison you could also try a test instance at our data center…

Hello @StefanU ,

Really sorry for late response, actually I was sick, yes the performance is much better as compared to the earlier.

Thank you for the offer to test an instance at your your data center.
Kind Regards,
Adnan

Hi Adnan,

I hope you’re well again.

If the speed is OK now, please mark the topic as solved.

Stefan
